We offer a variety of educational materials that can be adapted to the needs of your classroom based on the age of your students, the subject you teach or the time that you have available. Our Education Programs and short activities explore important themes related to the Holocaust and build students’ knowledge of the historical context of the survivors’ stories. Use these educational materials in conjunction with the stories of Canadian survivors that are available in our memoirs or on our digital resource, Re:Collection. There are no graphic images on Re:Collection and the content is appropriate for all students mature enough to study the Holocaust.
These multi-lesson units offer a complete program of study on a theme related to the Holocaust, using the stories of several survivors. Each program comprises several lessons that are 60-75 minutes long and is adaptable to the needs of your classroom.
These short activities are designed to supplement a broader unit of study on the Holocaust. Each activity centres around a theme or a survivor’s story and takes approximately one hour to complete.
